Mr. Shankarrao Pitla’s journey began in 1969, marking the start of a lifetime dedicated to public service and community empowerment. A seasoned leader within the Indian National Congress, he rose through the ranks from Block General Secretary to General Secretary of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee. His tenure was defined by a commitment to the grassroots, spearheading initiatives like the “Clean & Green Opera House Drive” and organizing vital blood donation and book distribution drives for those in need.
Beyond his political roles, Mr. Pitla’s impact extended deep into public administration and social welfare. Serving as a Special Executive Magistrate since 1977 and contributing to the Bombay Housing and Area Development Board, he worked tirelessly to bridge the gap between policy and the people. Today, the Shankarrao Pitla Foundation continues his legacy, carrying forward his vision of an inclusive India where every individual has the tools to thrive in a digital world.
